Trial Presentation Notes

Slide 1: We should take out the part about us pretending to work for Triple J and just say that we do.

Slide 2: It could be laid out better, it's a bit dull. The venues for Sydney should not just be laid out in bullet forms but rather like "The Venues for Sydney include.."

Slide 3: Again the list should not just be there and to make it more interesting.

Slide 4: Why do we have this logo? The pen one looks better. If we decide to stick with the logo that is on this slide perhaps we can have the fest in the pen form.

Slide 5: It was the pen poster i think for it just to have green pen lines.
We should have a slide with poster designs.
We have the work we should show it.

Planned Promo Material: Talk a little about the budget but it would not appear until the end. The quotes for everything should be included in the report. The Budget should be in a pie chart as it is instant and not hard to do. The production schedule is good for the report but not the presentation.

The booklet was okay use the pen line logo and perhaps have some line texture throughout it. And print off a copy of it.

The Map was really cool but change the logo to the pen one. For the speech bubbles a normal plain text should be used as for the speech bubbles themselves the could be given a green outline. With the black ones the text could be in green. The logo at the bottom should change the pen one. if it looks good in the T.V then keep the T.V if not then just get rid of the T.V and keep the black circle

I-phone app: There should only be 3 shoots of it.

For the magazine: The double page spread is good. Even if we just have the poster in the mag or for the cover "We are here look at us" type thing.

Merch: The pen design on the merchandise would look good. No paint Splats.

Website just use current screen shots of the website and paste the logo into to it.
Make a Facebook page and a blog.

For the poster:
Change the positioning as to where the artists are and make the lines green. He liked the green and white one as it had an unearthed organic feel and it suits the target audience.

The work it's self it quite nicely put together, we should have the green logo as a watermark or something and we have a lot of legs for this to walk on. We should suggest that for other years that there should be community involvement for the Poster design and website i.e. this year it is designed but us next year we unearth graphic designers.

NEW Map Of Venues

Map Of Venues

We've decided as a group to reconsider using the Oxford Art Factory as one of the main venues due to it's distance from the others.

Triple J Unearthed Website Backgrounds

What Is Triple J Unearthed?

Unearthed is the name of a Triple J project to find and "dig up" (hence the name) hidden talent in regional Australia.
Unearthed has had three incarnations - they first visited each region of Australia where Triple J had a transmitter - 41 regions in all. It started with the more rural areas but eventually the capital cities were covered as well. The second lasted from 2002 to 2005 and visited each state only once.
triple j Unearthed live music clips as featured on Rage and Fly TV.
In 2006 the format changed to be a more internet driven competition. Instead of the rounds traveling across Australia, artists are now required to upload their music in mp3 format to be judged.
