Red Cross Poster Brief

Task
To design an A3, full colour, poster for the Red Cross Blood Service promoting the donation of blood by tertiary students. The posters will be distributed to all university and TAFE campuses in Australia. You must leave a blank space for time and location details.
Your design has to be submitted printed, in colour, trimmed to A3 and presented in an A3 plastic sleeve. (With your design rationale on the back). Also submit a photocopy (or digital scan) of relevant pages of your process diary.
Background
The Australian Red Cross Blood Service (ARCBS) is a national organisation responsible for the collection, processing, screening and distribution of blood and blood products Australia-wide. Its vision and mission are to share life's best gift by the provision of quality blood products, tissues and related services for the benefit of the Australian Community.
Fundamental to the delivery of this service is a voluntary non-remunerated donor system.  We believe in fostering life-long relationships with our donors. To motivate young people to donate and to educate our youth about the importance of blood donation, several state branches of the ARCBS have implemented a youth donor program aimed at encouraging secondary school students to become regular blood donors.  This campaign, however, does not extend to incorporate university students.  A new project (tentatively named the 'National University Campaign') targeted at tertiary students is currently being developed.
Objectives of the National University campaign
The aim of this campaign is to:
increase awareness of blood donation within the university population (informing students when and where to donate); and
motivate students to donate blood.

Presentation
